The short version. You can play without giving us anything personal. The app sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, tied only to a random ID. If you sign in or leave your email, we use it to run your account and send the emails you asked for. We never sell your data. Our website uses Plausible, which counts visits without cookies or tracking you. You can ask us to delete everything at any time.
Who we are
Satoshi Millionaire (the app, this website and its emails) is run by Open Ventures FZ LLC, trading as The Bitcoin Digest, Expo City Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). We decide how your personal data is used. Contact us about anything in this policy through the contact form.
What we collect
When you play without an account
- On your phone only: your games, scores, streaks, settings, and a random player ID the app creates. This stays on your device.
- Sponsor block views: when a sponsored block appears, the app tells us which ad was shown, whether you tapped or saved its offer, your random player ID and the time. We use this to count views for sponsors and to stop fake views. It isn't linked to your name or email unless you sign in.
- Content downloads: the app downloads the latest questions, sponsor blocks and leaderboards from our servers.
- Usage statistics: the app sends anonymous events, such as the app being opened, a game starting or ending (mode, level, blocks reached, lifelines used), a share, or a reminder being tapped. They carry your random player ID, the app version and phone type, never your name or email. We use them to count players and see which parts of the game work.
- Crash and error reports: if something breaks, the app sends the error message, a short technical trace and the screen you were on, with your random player ID and the app version.
- Reports you send: if you flag a question or a player, we store your reason and any note you write, with your random player ID.
- Daily reminders: if you switch on the 8:00 Daily Block reminder, your phone schedules it itself. We don't receive a push token or your time zone.
When you sign in (optional)
- Your email address, used to send you a one-time sign-in code.
- The name or handle you choose. It is shown to other players on the leaderboards and on challenges you send.
- Your games: score, blocks reached, time taken, which answers were right, and which mode you played.
- The sponsor discount codes you saved, and whether you agreed to receive offer emails or our newsletter.
- Who invited you, if you joined through a friend's challenge link.
When you leave your email
At the end of a game or on this website you can leave your email to hear about new questions, the Daily Block or the app's launch. We store the email, whether you want the newsletter, your handle if you gave one, the score and platform at the time, and who referred you.
On this website
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data: we see totals such as pages viewed, where visitors came from, country and device type. We also count clicks on the download buttons.
Technical data
Like any online service, our providers' servers process your IP address and basic device information to deliver the app and website and to protect them from abuse. We also look at answer timing and request rates to detect bots and cheating.
How we use it
- To run the game, your account, streaks and the leaderboards.
- To send sign-in codes, and, only if you opted in, sponsor offer emails (the first straight away, then at most one a week) and The Bitcoin Digest newsletter.
- To count sponsor views and report totals to sponsors. Sponsors get numbers only, never your email or identity.
- To keep the game fair: detecting bots, suspending cheaters and removing fake scores.
- To fix problems and decide what to improve.
- To answer you. When you use the contact form we keep your name, email and message to reply, and delete them within 24 months.
- To find new players. We may upload email addresses from our sign-up lists to advertising platforms such as Meta and Google to create "custom" or "lookalike" audiences, so our ads reach people with similar interests. Addresses are converted into a scrambled code (hashed) before upload; the platform uses it to match accounts and does not receive your game data. For people in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom we only do this with your consent. Anyone can object at any time through the contact form, and we will exclude your address.
If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are: contract (running the game and your account), consent (newsletter, offer emails, advertising audiences) and legitimate interests (security, fair play, sponsor measurement and improving the game). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with companies that help us run Satoshi Millionaire, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

If you open a sponsor's link or use a discount code, that sponsor's own privacy policy applies. We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or our players, or as part of selling or reorganising our business.
Some of these providers process data outside the UAE, including in the European Union and the United States. Where required we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account and games: until you delete your account.
- Email sign-ups and newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Launch waitlist: until we have told you about the launch, then deleted within 12 months unless you also joined the newsletter.
- Sponsor view records: up to 24 months, after which we delete them or keep only totals.
- Server logs: for the short periods our providers keep them for security.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your personal data, and you can object to or restrict how we use it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. To delete your account, see Delete your account. Use the contact form for anything else; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In the UAE that is the UAE Data Office.
Children
Satoshi Millionaire is not made for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, don't sign in or leave your email without a parent's permission. If you think a child has given us their details, tell us through the contact form and we will delete them.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, access to our database is restricted by row-level security, and only named administrators can see player data. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep only what we need.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email.
